StorPod
This Privacy Policy is effective from 17-May-2009.
StorPod (a service owned and operated by Got 2 Have You Limited) provides this Privacy Policy to inform users of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personally identifiable information received from users of this Website, located at www.storpod.com ("Website" or "Site") or collected through specific other means as defined from time to time on the Site.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason; each version will apply to information collected while it was in place. We will notify you of any material changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on our Site. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. You may email us at privacy@storpod.com with any questions concerning policy updates.
By using our Site you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing" means using cookies on a computer or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the European Union ("EU"). If you reside outside the EU your personally identifiable information will be transferred to the EU and processed and stored there under EU privacy standards. By visiting our Site and providing information to us, you consent to such transfer to, and processing in, the EU.
Our primary goals in collecting personally identifiable information are to provide you with the product and services made available through the Site, to communicate with you, and to manage your registered user account, if you have one.
Information Collected. Certain pages on the StorPod Site (such as searching for properties and viewing property information) are accessible without registration. We collect personally identifiable information from you when you register on our Site, opt in to certain marketing services, communicate with another registered user, or place an order for services offered by our Site. Personally identifiable information that we may collect in such instances may include (but is not limited to) your IP address, your street address, the property address of a facility you wish to promote, PayPal email address, full user name, password, email address, city, time zone, mobile and land-line telephone numbers, and other information that you decide to provide us with. Although we will not require you to enter information which is irrelevant to your core usage of the StorPod Site, we may ask you for information which can help us provide a better service to you.
Photos. Some users (those who have paid in full) have the option to upload photos of their property for the sake of improving marketing and assisting in the description of the property. Users must exercise their own judgement to use photos which do not unduly compromise their privacy and security as StorPod cannot be held responsible for any such breaches. StorPod does not claim any copyright or ownership of these photos, but does reserve the right to use selected photos from time to time for the purposes of marketing the Site and specific properties and may do so without advance notice to the owner of the photo(s).
The StorPod system will place a watermark on the uploaded photo for marketing purposes. The user may delete any of his/her photos at any time from the system by logging into his/her account and following the relevant procedures.
StorPod does not exercise any control over photos. Photos are publicly viewable and thus these may be copied, circulated and used unbeknownst to us; in these and other cases you waive any real or perceived liability to StorPod by using any part of our service, including photo upload.
StorPod will delete from the system and without notice any photo it deems to be inappropriate; photos that depict illegal, illicit or other questionable activities could result in the user being banned from StorPod, the account being suspended and all profile information passed to relevant law enforcement authorities.
Use of Contact Information. In addition, we may use your contact information to process financial transactions, inform you of internal system messages received from another registered member, send periodic marketing emails, and provide you with information about, our products and services, and products and services of selected third parties. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such information or communications from us, please follow the disable account instructions provided on the Site.
Log Data. When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting, the web-pages you visit, the search terms you use, and any advertisements on which you click. For most users accessing the Internet from an Internet service provider the IP address will be different every time you log on. We use Log Data to monitor the use of our Site and for the Site’s technical administration. We do not associate your IP address with any other personally identifiable information to identify you personally, except in case of violation of the Terms of Service.
Payment Information. Members of StorPod who wish to list vacant properties for hire (and thus have their profiles visible to other members) must pay for this service. All payments are handled securely through encrypted transactions by PayPal payment services. PayPal operates under a range of incorporated company names and is in no way connected to, or in no way endorses StorPod. StorPod users are encouraged to visit the PayPal site and review their Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
At no time before, during or after the payment transaction will StorPod hold or store any credit card or payment information. Affiliates of StorPod who are due commission payments from us are paid via PayPal. In this case we hold the email address which the Affiliate has registered at PayPal for the sole purpose of making commission payments due. We reserve the right to use any information collected through our Site to detect and assist the authorities in combating fraud and questionable activities on our Site.
